Bio 152 Poster Symposium

All Introductory Biology 152 students conduct a semester-long research project in which they propose a novel research question, work to answer that question, and communicate their findings with a formal scientific paper, presentation, and present at a poster symposium.

Students may complete their independent projects by either conducting mentored research with a lab on campus or by conducting a data-first based analysis with a partner. The Spring 2026 poster symposium featured over 1,100 students and close to 720 research projects. We invite you to attend this Fall’s semester’s poster symposium, Wednesday, December 9th–across two sessions: Session A: 3:00-4:30pm, Session B: 5:30pm-7:00pm, at Union South’s Varsity Hall to help us celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students and learn something new about biology.
